What we collect

• Order information — name, email, shipping address and order contents. Payment card details are handled by our payment processor and are never stored by us.
• Guestbook entries — the name, optional location and message you submit, plus a one-way hash of your IP address used solely to rate-limit submissions. The raw IP address is not stored.
• Mailing list — your email address, if you choose to give it.
• Page interaction counts — if you play the game on the home page, we record which steps happened (started, talked to a character, entered the shop, skipped) and how long it took, along with a random identifier generated fresh on each page load and a one-way hash of your IP address used solely to rate-limit submissions. The identifier is not stored on your device and cannot be linked to you or to another visit.
• A visitor cookie — a single value that records that you have visited before, so the visitor counter counts people rather than page loads.

Advertising and analytics

Our own interaction counts described above stay on our systems. There is no third-party analytics script on this site.

We advertise on Meta platforms and share order events with Meta so that advertising can be measured. This may include a hashed version of your email address. You can control how this information is used in your Meta account settings.

Who we share it with

Our commerce platform, our print and fulfilment partner, our carriers, our email provider, and Meta as described above. We do not sell personal information.

How long we keep it

Order records are kept for seven years for tax purposes. Guestbook entries remain until you ask us to remove them. Mailing list entries are removed when you unsubscribe.

Your choices

Email dale@dalesdepot.com to access, correct or delete the personal information we hold about you, or to have a guestbook entry removed. Requests are actioned within 30 days.
